1. The Challenge

Modern food delivery applications require seamless real-time coordination across three independent user personas: customers placing orders, delivery partners navigating routes, and restaurant managers controlling menu inventory and dispatching orders.

Key technical hurdles included ensuring sub-second order status notifications, maintaining offline state handling during temporary network drops, and guaranteeing zero payment transaction loss during peak traffic hours.

2. The Engineering Approach

Cyclushub designed a unified multi-tier full-stack architecture built on clean separation of concerns:

• Mobile Customer App: Built natively with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose utilizing MVVM pattern, Room DB for local order state caching, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.
• Web Admin & Merchant Portal: Developed using React 18 and TailwindCSS for real-time order dispatch, inventory toggle controls, and live analytics charts.
• High-Performance Backend: Architected with ASP.NET Core (.NET 8) with PostgreSQL database, Entity Framework Core ORM, and SignalR WebSockets for bi-directional live tracking.
• Payment Infrastructure: Integrated Razorpay online payments with server-side signature validation and robust webhook retry queues.
